Collection: Lynne Kelman

  • Lynne studied photography at the Berkshire College of Art in the 60's and worked as an assistant photographer for the British Government in London, England.

    On moving to Vancouver B.C. she worked in the arts administration field for both the Emily Carr College of Art and Design and as curatorial assistant at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

    Lynne is now retired but still pursuing her love of photography. Her photographs have appeared in magazines both local and afar and she has taught photography to new photographers in her home town of White Rock.  Lynne has exhibited and sold works in exhibitions at the White Rock Museum and Archives, the Surrey Art Gallery, Photohaus Gallery in Vancouver and more recently her work was in an exhibition “More than the Eye Can See” in her home town of White Rock.  Lynne judges photography for CAPA Canada and judges locally for several art venues.

    Lynne has fallen in love with Still Life Photography and endeavors to introduce anew, the genre, to a wider audience. Her article “My Journey through Still Life” was published in the winter 2023 edition of The Canadian Photography Magazine---www.capaccanada.ca.
